Amazon is looking for an experienced vendor-facing supply-chain manager to join the EU Jewelry, Watches and Luggage business.As Sr. Vendor Operations Manager you will be responsible for executing ambitious plans to improve stock availability and deliver supply chain efficiencies that reduce fixed and variable costs within Amazon's supply chain. You will own the improvements of operational excellence KPIs and drive supply-chain initiatives, such as: PO confirmation rates and fulfilment, vendor lead times, optimising sourcing options and programs, efficient product receive, inbound defects, inventory placement, stock shrinkage, packaging and reducing input costs.You will achieve these goals by partnering closely with Amazon vendors and using data, analyses, and kaizens. You will also work with internal teams to identify opportunities to drive continuous improvement within existing processes, gain support for the business initiatives and provide inputs into roadmaps.You will have strong vendor management, analytical and communication skills and a passion for supply chain and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities:· Close collaboration with key vendors to improve their operational excellence. Identify opportunities to scale and automate across vendors and marketplaces.· Scope, drive and deliver complex projects across multiple teams. You will define clear milestones and set the expectations of stakeholders effectively.· Dive deep and optimize Amazon supply chain processes to improve inventory availability, speed of delivery, capacity planning, and cost reduction while simultaneously driving automation and reducing lead times.· Work with internal teams in building support and resources for projects and initiatives that improve overall supply chain health.· Contribute to weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews, project updates and strategic deep dives.Basic qualifications· Senior level experience in Supply Chain, Operations, Inventory Management.· Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders and deliver results.· Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.· Strong data analysis, problem solving and project management skills. Advanced user of Excel.· Strong written and oral communication skills.· Strong ownership, bias for action and discipline in establishing and improving processes.Preferred qualification · MBA preferred.· Experience with SQL.· Consulting background in one of the following areas: supply chain, inventory management, vendor management.
