We are looking for a dedicated Team Manager to be responsible for managing a two small teams within their Claims Repair Division. Responsibilities will include managing the day to day operation of the team - including coaching, training, driving first class service and productivity.

What you'll be doing:
  • To provide guidance and support to employees, enabling them to maximise their potential in meeting a variety of demands.
  • To act as a service champion and referral point across their team.
  • To deliver excellence against the key measures of reduced duration, cost control, revenue realisation and customer satisfaction.
  • To identify and proactively address employee issues, such as performance and day to day needs to ensure highest levels of service delivery resulting in excellent customer satisfaction.
  • To work collaboratively with the Repair Network and Finance Teams, and other internal teams; to identify opportunities for improving the End to End claims process and achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • To identify and monitor employee development needs and to ensure the delivery of appropriate learning programmes with suitable methods; to build business, interpersonal and technical competence.
  • To set the team plan, identify purpose and meaningful measures to assess individual and team contribution - use resources and reporting tools available. Also develop bespoke approach appropriate to individual and team needs.
  • To develop, manage and maintain relations with internal and external parties to ensure customer demands are met fully.
  • To engage with clients, brokers and key stakeholders in order to maintain business and to attract new business opportunities.

Can you say yes to the following?
  • Insurance qualification desirable e.g. Dip CII, ACII, CILA though not essential however you must have some claims handling experience or thorough knowledge of the claims process
  • Extensive Knowledge of the insurance market, the basic insurance principles and the ability to apply them (desirable)
  • Extensive Knowledge and understanding of standard policy terms and market variations.
  • Good understanding of Client SLA compliance/productivity/quality requirements
  • Good understanding of FSA procedures and TCF initiative
  • Excellent people management skills in order to performance manage, motivate and lead the team
  • Excellent analytical and decision making ability in order to analyse complex information correctly and make sound decisions to support business needs
  • Excellent organisation skills to deliver high standards - time, cost, quality, efficiency and value
  • Able to inspire and energise others by taking the initiative to make things happen
  • Create a positive learning environment in which the team is motivated to learn and develop
  • Excellent customer service / client relation skills to manage relationships and provide effective dispute resolution
