It is East Lothian Council's policy that successful applicants will be placed on the first point of the salary scale

Salary: £19399 - £21224 per annum pro rata (£10.63 - £11.63 per hour)
Part-time temporary post until 26/6/2020
19.05 hours per week, term time (38 weeks)
Days/hours of work (flexible*):
Mon-Thurs 08.39-15.50, Friday 08.39-12.00 (less breaks)

*Days of work for this post are flexible. There are 3 full days which need to be covered - these can be split into a combination of full/part days Mon-Thurs and a half day on a Friday. Please indicate in the 'Additional Information' section of the application form which days/hours you are available.

Job Details
To provide care and assistance to individuals and small groups of pupils with additional support needs.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
Good standard of general education
Experience of working with or caring for children with additional support needs

Nursery Only: SSSC registration or agreement to register within 6 months from the date of appointment to this post is essential.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as Regulated Work with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

All preferred candidates for posts carrying out regulated work with these groups are required to become a PVG Scheme member, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if they are already a member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made by East Lothian Council.
