We're looking for a special Team Leader to join us on a full-time basis at Victoria House. We're offering a competitive salary of £9.76 per hour, plus £1 enhancement at weekends.

Located near Hull, Victoria House is a purpose-built centre that provides accommodation and support for people with complex and high dependency needs, giving independence and lifestyle choices for adults with physical disabilities.

Victoria House is a part of The Disabilities Trust is a leading national charity, providing innovative care, rehabilitation and support solutions for people with profound physical impairments, acquired brain injury and learning disabilities as well as children and adults with autism.

As Team Leader, your role is to lead a team of support workers to ensure the needs of individuals with complex and high dependency needs are met, in line with their individual support plan.

Your duties will include

- Setting and communicating high standards of care and professional conduct to your team.
- Leading and supporting compliance with quality standards.
- Leading and supporting the team in health and safety duties
- Contributing information for the accurate notification of incidents/accidents/safeguarding as appropriate.
- Representing the Disabilities Trust at meetings and seminars
- Liaising with families, advocates, local authorities, local safeguarding teams, other external agencies as well as within the Trust to ensure effective and safe service provision.
- Contributing to the recruitment, selection and induction of support staff.
- Supervising, appraising, developing a team of support workers
- Contributing to effective manage of the staff team and agreed delivery of hours.
- Supporting service users with their medication.
