A 40+ bedded care home in the Ilfracombe area currently requires an experienced Nursing Home Manager (Nurse or Non-Nurse) to lead the team and develop the service.
The fully CQC compliant home offers elderly and dementia care in a modern setting by the sea and has great facilities and a strong team already in place.
Details of this Nurse or Non-Nurse Home Manager position and what our client is offering the successful candidate:
• A permanent, full-time contract of 40 hours per week
• Predominantly day shifts during office hours, however some flexibility is required to work evenings, weekends etc for quality monitoring purposes and due to the seniority of the role
• A very competitive annual salary of £40,000, which is equivalent to NHS Band 7 and an hourly rate of £19.23
• A supportive working environment in a fully CQC compliant home
As Care Home Manager, you will coordinate and oversee the day to day running of the home, ensuring a cost-effective and efficient service that doesn't compromise on quality of care or life. You will deliver effective clinical leadership and line management to the clinical and non-clinical teams in addition to managing budgets and resources.
What the home is looking for in a Home Manager:
• Experienced in the management of a UK nursing home and the home will consider both Nurse-qualified candidates (RGN or RMN) and Non-Nurse Managers with the relevant experience
• Have completed a recognised management qualification such as NVQ Level 4 or Diploma Level 5 (or an equivalent)
• A strong leader and able to motivate, lead and support clinical and non-clinical staff
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and all legislation relevant to a UK nursing home
• Financially aware and able to manage and adhere to budgets
