Becoming a Senior Assurance Manager with Smart DCC:

We are looking for a passionate Senior Firmware & PKI Manager who will oversee a core business function of firmware and Security Operations as part of the Logistics and Demand function. This team are accountable for the forecast, delivery, rejection, and returns of Comms Hubbs and supporting products to and from customers.

The volume of activity is increasing, in line with smart meter rollout projections, and this activity is crucial for the on-time delivery and acceptance of consignments by customers. This team is also responsible for Security Operations, providing a broad range of security support, influence, and coordination to our service providers who undertake their own protective monitoring, altering, and reporting of security incidents to ensure delivery of UK Smart Metering solutions.

The successful candidate will be accountable for governance structures, quality of product, maintaining BAU Operations, and identifying service improvements.

What you'll be doing:
  • Implementation of Design, develop and document firmware improvements and drivers to control devices
  • Design, develop, and document test procedures and software to validate functionality
  • Accountable for reporting and management information to external governance bodies including Security Sub Committee and OFGEM
  • Support technical security assurance and expertise from within the team
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure appropriate handling of Incidents, Problems, and applicable Change for existing system/infrastructure

What we're looking for:
  • Degree qualified or similar in Software/Electronic Engineering/Business Management
  • Firmware design and methodologies experience
  • Experience of Security Incidents and resolution
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills to a range of stakeholders
  • Capable of achieving HMG Security Cleared (SC) and full clean UK driving license
