The company is a family-owned, retail business with 4 stores trading in North West England and North Wales. Trading for over 20 years, the company has made some headway developing e-commerce sales but feel the time is now right to expand this side of the business. We are looking for a multi-disciplinary eCommerce professional to spearhead online sales growth and the key objective for this newly created role is to expand online sales through Amazon and eBay and help develop sales directly through our own website

An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate high attention to detail, the ability to research subjects using your own initiative and implement/measure Digital Marketing tools including: Adwords, Google Analytics and Social Media platforms. You should have a good understanding of search engine optimisation and content marketing to ensure that we are delivering high quality campaigns to achieve the best results. You will also have good knowledge and experience of digital marketplace platforms including Amazon and eBay.

You will be incredibly professional, ambitious, self-motivated, outgoing and have a positive attitude while being attentive to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Increase online sales and profitability and deliver sales and gross profit targets
  • Improve website performance and grow online sales via Amazon and eBay paying attention to product pricing, product imagery, sales promotions and procuring product reviews
  • Create New Listings on Website, eBay & Amazon seller platforms
  • Monitor and improve active listings
  • Manage inventory and research new potential products to list
  • Monitor competitor websites and market trends, making recommendations to improve proposition
  • Monitor online performance and provide weekly reports to the General Manager using Google Analytics, Amazon performance metrics and other digital tools
  • Present suggestions and ideas to increase conversion and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Constantly look for other sales channels to market our products
  • Create technical, yet engaging content for our e-commerce website with an emphasis on SEO. Including writing product descriptions, blog posts, newsletter emails and content for social media, along with researching new and existing products.
  • Oversee and manage the creation of artwork for the website
  • Manage customer service issues
  • Manage the marketing of the website
  • Manage a small team and assist with recruiting and appraising team members and contribute to the development and progression of your team
  • Work closely with and manage our outsourced e-commerce specialist team

Skill requirements include:
  • Excellent reading and writing skills
  • A strong understanding of SEO techniques (content and meta)
  • Experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
  • 2+ years’ experience working in e-commerce with the Magento platform
  • An understanding of eBay & Amazon Seller platforms
  • A good understanding of social media
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Basic Adobe Photoshop skills for resizing/editing images
  • Experience using Google Analytics (preferred)
  • Effective written communication and analytical skills.
  • Good communication with a friendly telephone manner
  • 2+ year management experience
  • An understanding of the hydroponics industry, although not essential, would be advantageous

LOCATION: Manchester

SALARY: Competitive Negotiable Package (Based on Experience)

HOURS: 40 hours / 5 days per week, Mon to Friday 10am â€" 6pm
