Clockwork Education are working on behalf a lovely, 1 form entry primary school in Durham who are looking to appoint an experienced and strong SEN Specialist teaching assistant ASAP for at least a year. The role will most likely will become permanent for the right candidate. You will be required to work one to one with two pupils in a Reception class who have very specific needs and may also be required to work across the primary age range supporting other pupils with SEN. Manual handling and restraining may be required therefore correct training is highly desirable but not essential. You must hold experience within a similar role as it can be a challenging job. However, the schools are extremely supportive and encourage professional development with their staff members so the opportunity to develop is prominent within this school. The school will accept applications from a care worker with manual handling training so long as you also have some experience with the primary curriculum.

We have been working with the school for the past 2 years and have an excellent relationship with the school head and business manager. Staff who have been working at the school have regularly been offered permanent work and our supply staff always say its a very rewarding environment to work in. The school is easily accessible from all major motorways and A roads.
