Marks Sattin UK are working in partnership with a well known manufacturing business in South Wales who are looking for an assured, well-rounded and creative Senior Finance Manager.

This is a new role following some recent growth and further plans to expand.

The position will ensure the strategic financial performance of Operations and IT Finance across the site. Key duties will include leading the reporting requirements for the Finance Operations team covering material cost, manufacturing, logistics, warranty and fixed costs over an annual and business planning horizon. You will be leading and driving financial performance across the business and providing insightful and transparent information and support helping to drive decision-making across the business. The position requires the need to both challenge and support commercial and financial issues across the business, whilst also reporting into a CFO.
  • Working with FD for Operations to set up new facilities, including inventory control, cost centre structure and management, systems integration and reporting requirements.
  • Lead and manage a small team to prioritise workload, set deadlines, e.g. month end, budget setting, reporting.
  • Co-ordinate the production of the annual budget and 5 year plan.
  • Leadership, mentoring and development of finance analysts.
  • Co-ordinate and drive delivery of delivered costs targets to enable the business to meet its objectives.
  • Co-ordinate production of forecasts and management reports for review with senior management.
  • Lead the preparation and presentation of internal project financials and reporting to senior management.
  • Chair, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve key financial risks or issues.

Requirements:
  • Professional Accounting Qualification CIMA/ACA/ACCA
  • Degree qualified (2:1 or above)
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Team management, development and mentoring
  • Business partnering across operations and finance at a senior level
