A leading Global Financial Institution is seeking to employ an Associate based in London.

Hours 35 per week/permanent.

The Associate will be part of Global Banking and Markets and ensures the operational efficiency of the Global Market activity that he/she is supporting. They will support the growth of the activity, in compliance with strategic axis, regulatory framework and risk management best practices.

The Associate is accountable for supporting the business in the creation of new products or the development of new services, in collaboration with Structuring & Trading teams ; ensure that product governance framework is respected, and that propositions are implemented in collaboration with control groups; contributing to the global consistency of practices and processes, by the identification of deviations and escalation of anomalies; collaborating with transparency with the other products BM to ensure that the activities are not operated in silos, and with the other BM of SED. They will support trading in the securisation and simplification of their processes.

The Associate is also responsible for proactively helping to identify process inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives; acting as an active support for the roll out of project or initiatives with an impact for the business, and in particular prepare the change management of new tools; identifying risks of the activities, and assure that the operational risk framework is relevant and comprehensive; identifying control gaps and contribute to the definition of preventive/corrective actions; ensuring that the Business Management team operates at its optimal format, and developing capacities with the Bangalore, India team; acting as a subject matter expert in collaboration with the Equity Regulatory team for the analysis of new regulation, design of target adherence, and if necessary remediation. They will contribute to or lead the activity governance forums: management committees, risk and control committees, in support of the Chief Control Officer.

The Associate will play a key role in contributing to the Equities strategic program or lead strategic initiatives, aiming at 1) optimizing the firm’s hubs and balance sheets, 2) adapt and transform the FO to BO platforms, in particular in link with the Digital Initiatives and Target Operating Models for Global Markets.

The successful candidate will be a graduate and will have the following attributes:

  • Academic training in Finance, Business, Political Sciences or Engineering
  • Professional written and verbal command of English
  • Extensive experience in working with Business Management / COO functions, Audit, Business Analysis, Structuring or Compliance,
  • Very good knowledge of Equity Derivatives products,
