Your new role

I am working in partnership with a well-established independent school in North Leicestershire. The school accommodates for students aged 7-16 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties and struggle to access mainstream education. In most cases, students have a statement of Special Educational Needs.

The school are looking to appoint a general Teacher to start in the new academic year.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Be a Qualified Teacher (QTS, NQT or equivalent)
  • Have experience of teaching students with SEMH/SEN needs
  • Have effective behaviour management and motivation strategies
  • Have a passion and enthusiasm for teaching


  • Teaching a range of subjects primarily at Functional Skills level (but also GCSE if relevant)
  • Supporting students with their Emotional and Behavioural Needs
  • Working proactively with other team members
  • Promoting a caring and safe learning environment
