Location: Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6NT

Hours: Part-time or Full-time - flexible to suit the right individual

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 pro rata

About the Role

Our client, a Playschool Nursery is recruiting a part-time Marketing Specialist to design and deliver their marketing and communications strategy - for both existing and prospective clients and nursery nurses. This year they celebrate their 10th Anniversary as a family run children's nursery in Hertfordshire, serving the local communities in St Albans, Harpenden and Welwyn Garden City. They are now ready to accelerate their organic growth to the next level, whilst continuing to deliver their high quality children's day care. And this is where you come in...

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

* Ready to take the helm of new marketing department - set the strategy, create the plans, execute the campaigns and manage performance - you'll be the captain and the crew!
* Passionate about generating leads through creating and implementing effective and efficient local marketing campaigns

* Have high emotional intelligence - you have genuine empathy for others, and can quickly get what makes our parents and staff tick, so you can maximise the impact of your communications
* In the habit of overachievement - you have a "never quit" attitude, and overachieve against targets, regardless of the obstacles being faced
* Grounded in data - you leverage and can communicate using data to improve core KPI's that matter to the individuals on their team, their clients, and to help drive Playschool Nursery's strategic "plays"
* Of sound judgement - especially when tasked with difficult decisions. You're a person who exudes good judgement in decision making

Key Skills & Qualifications:

To be a successful candidate you will:

* Have formal marketing training/ qualifications and enjoy ongoing professional development
* Have a track record of success with digital marketing (both paid and organic social media), PR, event management, sponsorship and print campaigns, in a professional office environment
* Have previous community based, business-to-consumer marketing experience. Prior experience marketing to parents would be ideal
* Be a great self-manager with excellent time management and organisation skills
* Have native level English, with faultless spelling and grammar
* Be confident communicating with prospects, parents and staff by phone, face-to-face and in writing
* Be flexible to support the business in cross-functional projects to drive the business forward
