JOIN THE TEAM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE We have built up our successful payroll service model over a period of time and currently provide payroll services to 23 clients across approximately 70% of NHS organisations within the Cheshire and Merseyside region. Due to business expansion we are now recruiting a further Payroll Team Leader to join the management team at this exciting stage. Reporting to the Client Relationship Manager the primary purpose of this role is for you to lead an allocated payroll team to deliver a professional, end-end operational Payroll/ESR service to the clients within agreed deadlines and that all information from interfacing software systems has been uploaded and processed in order to produce accurate and prompt salary payments to all staff in accordance with all statutory, regulatory and policy requirements. You will analyse, investigate and resolve complex queries and discrepancies, including the close management of all payments. You will also manage and support your teams and be proactive in their continuous development. You will have a natural flair for customer service and able to hit the ground running. You will be educated to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent or have equivalent level of experience within an NHS payroll field and have detailed and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of NHS payroll and pensions procedures and practices and employment practices, utilising ESR. Ideally you will already have experience of supervising staff. You will be competent in using Excel up to intermediate level together with excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels.
