What You'll Be Doing
The job purpose is to Design, develop and Manage a Training centre along with the staffing of the centre, designing and developing a comprehensive training package to train new entrants into the Energy industry along with upskilling of existing staff. Re certifying and conducting industry examinations in line with Industry and accrediting body requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Design and develop training package for the development of Engineers within the Gas and Electric Industry
  • Gain and Maintain Accreditation with awarding bodies and liaising with government agencies to maintain industry standards.
  • Maintain and build on the gained accreditations required to fulfil the company requirements whilst identifying and implementing new courses to future proof the company.
  • Maintain and develop a QMS in line with Qualification framework
  • Establish, build and maintain a staffing level to be able to deliver the required Training through Filed Services
  • Build strong working relationships with the Operational and Compliance Managers to enable the allocated field engineer to excel in performance
  • Continued evaluation of all field-based staff and managers, identifying areas for improvement and encouraging development
  • Ensuring that All staff involved within Field Services have adequate information, instruction, and training to be able to carry out their duties to a high standard.
  • Ability to conduct, Assess and Evaluate Exams in line with industry standards.
  • Ensuring that the controlled processes and procedures are adhered to and developed according to business needs
  • Represent the Company at Board member level to actively contribute to industry changes
  • Operate with the objectives set in the Quality Policy
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety culture
  • Develop and Implement Training to ensure expectations for the Business are met
  • Ensure that billable activity is maximised
  • Operate the elected communication mechanism, systems and process to deliver the performance targets for the business in terms of
    • Service Levels
    • Health and Safety incidents
    • Training SLA's

Skills and Experience required:
  • Relevant industry recognised qualifications to MoCopa certified to single and multiphase level, CCN1 or CMA1 with Met1, NSAP, IOSH, ILM (or equivalent)
  • Level 3 Teaching Qualification.
  • A1 or equivalent assessors Award, Managers qualification.
  • Advanced knowledge of metering function relating to both gas and electric technical skills gained in the industry, in order to ensure that training is delivered safely and effectively.
  • Experience of training and assessments practices to ensure that the training is relevant and accurately delivered.
  • Experience in designing specific training packages for gas and electric meter installations from start to finish with responsible for identifying and updating processes and procedures.
  • Experience of managing all aspects of a Dual Fuel training facility including designing and building training rooms.
  • Experience of working with awarding bodies (i.e. NSAP) and dealing with regulatory issues around Training Providers.
  • Being able to drive stakeholder service as well as installation performance.
  • Ability to manage change, develop bespoke training programmes and become an advocate of change.
