Scrum Master Bristol - Permanent

Altran is recruiting for a Scrum Master to work with the teams in Bristol.

As a Scrum Master with Altran, you will be experienced working with a mixture of different team sizes and types and will understand the underlying principles of Scrum and its purpose in the real world. This is a position for a full time Scrum Master and we are looking for individuals who are happy in this role, understand how to work with different types of people and continually strive to improve their teams efficiency and productivity.
  • Guiding the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices
  • Running Sprint ceremonies including, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, Sprint planning meetings, Sprint reviews and Sprint retrospectives
  • Ensuring that work undertaken by the team has been suitably prioritised and has a specific business benefit
  • Providing support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example
  • Removing impediments that are preventing the team from delivery
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of retribution or being judged, with an emphasis on problem solving
  • Supporting and coaching the Product Owner to maintain a product delivery roadmap that identifies deliverables, dependencies and milestones
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Facilitating discussions, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Mentoring skills that demonstrate the Agile values and principles, helping teams and individuals become Agile in thought and behaviour
  • Growing and facilitating teams to deliver innovative software products, as well as less experienced teams
  • Light-touch leadership that employs a highly collaborative approach to guide people without controlling them but employing authority when the situation requires Produce Scrum ceremony minutes including retrospective documentation
  • Work with lead Scrum Master to continually deliver updates to the overarching Agile operating model
  • Run and contribute to 'Agile Guild' meet-ups across Feature Teams

You will work with key stakeholders, internal and external and will be working with one or two teams in order to coach, mentor and serve in order to produce the correct code first time and to maximise the teams' productivity.

  • Knowledge or experience with Agile techniques and methodologies: User Stories, estimating, TDD, continuous integration, pairing, automated testing
  • Knowledge with SAFe would be beneficial
  • Candidates should be willing to undertake the security vetting process and be Security Cleared at the point of employment
