About the role

As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:

Providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a busy production site that produces and distributes products to multiple UKs markets. You will be responsible for maintaining plant machinery including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, palletisers, shrink wrappers, mixers, dryers and more. You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.

Further responsibilities include;
  • Mechanical fault finding
  • Mechanical component strip and rebuild
  • Mechanical installation & project work
  • Compliance and health and safety
  • Critical stock control

About you

As a maintenance engineer should have the following:
  • Mechanically qualified - Level 3 or above (City and guilds, BTEC, NVQ)
  • Strong Mechanical skillset, industry background is less important.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt with short notice.
  • The ability to work within a proactive nature.
