JOB PURPOSE

The Junior Systems Administrator role within the IT Systems team is a junior position reporting to the Senior Systems Administrator. The primary function of this role is to ensure all IT Systems and peripherals in the warehouse environments operate effectively and efficiently within the requirements set out by management and in accordance with customer service level agreements.




REQUIRED ABILITIES AND APTITUDES

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Experience working with warehouse systems, applications and peripherals
  • Able to quickly assimilate new information and understand business drivers
  • Ability to work with a wide cross functional team, across continents
  • Management of external third-party service providers
  • Fluent in English and effective writing and documentation skills
  • Good presentation skills and confident to deal with senior internal and external stakeholders

WORK OUTPUTS


IT Operations:
  • Manage daily availability of the on-board EPOS system and peripherals including training equipment
  • Provide technical and user support on EPOS, FRS, network, user workstations and servers
  • Perform daily checks of systems as instructed by manager
  • Log support tickets for IT issues
  • Manage assigned support tickets by updating and closing tickets as required
  • Ensure maintenance program for the EPOS systems and constituent components are adhered to
  • Ensure replacement of components before life end or if damaged or otherwise rendered inoperable
  • Assist with training of operations staff processing EPOS
  • Assist with testing of all software and hardware systems before deployment in a live environment
  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) of FRS and EPOS prior to roll outs of new software versions
  • Monitor the condition and maintenance of the EPOS and systems hardware
  • Provide regular reports as instructed by manager
  • Undertake any other related duties as required by the line manager
