Technical Solutions Engineer (Project Delivery, Windows Server, Exchange Server, Networking) Location: Gloucester Salary: £40-45,000 This is a technical and highly customer focused role. You will be working in partnership with customers through offering first class project delivery activities and escalated support. All candidates applying must be comfortable with UK travel as part of the role. Technical Solutions Engineer - Key Skills: - Windows Desktop environments, including Windows 7, 8 & 10. - Windows Server 2008 / 2012 /2019. - MS Exchange Server 2013 / 2016. - Windows Desktop user support experience. - Networking; LAN, WAN, Firewalls. - Wireless Networks. - Virtualization; VMWare, Hyper-V. - Thorough understanding of Information Security best practices. - Understanding of ITIL best practices. - Must be an excellent communicator. - Must be eligible to work in the UK. About the Role: Your role as a Technical Solutions Engineer (Project Delivery, Windows Server, Exchange Server, Networking) will involve: Project Delivery: - Working as part of the project team to deliver projects on time, to the agreed standards of functionality and quality to customers. - Attending regular project update meetings both internally and with customers to update stakeholders on project progress. - Maintaining appropriate documentation of project work and accurate records of work carried out. - Highlighting any risks or issues that may impact delivery to the project team. Support: - Providing 3rd line support via escalations from the Service Desk, as part of project delivery. - Working with the customer in house support teams where applicable. - Working with the Service Desk team on escalated issues, support and knowledge transfer. - Providing guidance to customers on the best use of their IT Solutions.
