We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team at our Head Office in Leighton Buzzard

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately enter data onto the Resource link: including starters, leavers and change of details.
  • Actively chase employees for missing paperwork/outstanding information to ensure that cut offs are met.
  • Prepare audit report daily (alongside the original documentation) to allow a team leader/manager to check your work.
  • Correspond with employees applying for other types of statutory leave, ensuring their understanding and that all legislative requirements have been met.
  • Accurately input variable data when the payrun is open including commissions, bonuses and overtime in line with the monthly timetable.
  • Undertaking full checks of the commissions as they are submitted before they are imputed to ensure that they are accurate and complete prior to the monthly cut off.
  • Accurately, process attachment of earnings orders through the payroll to ensure that the correct deductions are made from employees' salaries and paid over to the third parties in a timely fashion.
  • Answer general payroll queries by telephone, email and/or letter in a polite, professional and timely fashion.

As a member of the Payroll Team you need to be/have:-
  • Highly Organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to verbally communicate clearly both with employees and the rest of the team
  • A team player, keen to work together and take part in discussions
  • Able to communicate using written media, with a high level of spelling and grammatical accuracy
  • Actively interested in the full payroll process (not just your part of it)
  • Eager to expand your knowledge or suggest improvements to processes where you can.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel/outlook/word)
  • Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines

There is no specific qualifications required for this role as all training is provided on the job.
