We are 'Gear by Airbus'. A team with the ambition to transform the business model for bringing Landing Gear Structures and Equipment products to market. As a team of people from diverse functional backgrounds, we work together to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow our business capabilities as well as our individual experience and skillsets. Together we will deliver new capabilities and competence to the business by developing and testing products, defining new digital methods and tools, all ready to bring our own future landing gear products to market. Task & accountabilities :What you will be doing... • Developing the project vision for the shape of Landing Gear development, industrialisation and support in a digital future, in order to place our product offer ahead of our competitors. • Defining and deploying a roadmap for developing team members skills in line with new digital methods and tools being deployed from the Airbus Digital Design Manufacturing & Services (DDMS) transformation project. • Identifying new ideas/opportunities and best practice from both inside and outside of Airbus, which can be exploited on the project to ensure the project team are in a leading position in Airbus. • Representing the Gear by Airbus EPIC in the DDMS transformation project to define Landing Gear user stories and ensure the developed toolsets are fully ready to enable development, industrialisation and support of our products. For this role, we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours, flexible start and finish times. You have... • Demonstrated your knowledge and capabilities in one or more of the Systems Engineering fields of Model Based Systems Engineering, parametric/modular product design, centralised digital data models/digital twin and design to value. • A strong technical background in Aerospace, Automotive or similar industry, enabling you to confidently hold technical debate with team members from engineering, industrial and support backgrounds on topics ranging across product, methods and processes. • Experienced in the methodologies of Scaled Agile Framework and in breakdown of EPICs into capabilities, features and user stories in an Engineering context. • The energy to drive change and ensure impact by persevering to overcome obstacles and demonstrating tangible successes. You are... • Empathetic to the challenges team members will face during the transformation journey and adept at helping them overcome these challenges. • Able to adapt your message to different audiences and people with different perspectives, with a willingness to take on feedback and to change course when required. • Willing to challenge yourself to extend your skills through self-directed learning and by exploring outside our team environment. • Keen to learn about broader technical and non-technical aspects of product development and delivery. • Able to take ownership of your activities and support your team members by making commitments that you work hard to uphold.
