ASD Special Educational Needs School (SEN) located in Dorset is recruiting for a temp to perm SEN Teaching Assistant. This immediate post is to September 2019.

This is an innovative & creative Special Educational Needs (SEN) School who caters to both high and low functioning ASD pupils. This Special Educational Needs School (SEN) in Dorset have a successful and robust Senior Leadership Team that are very successful within their positions. Both teaching & support staff at this Special ASD School have been observed as a minimum of Good. The students are both primary and secondary levels. It is imperative that all new staff have preferably got experience with ASD pupils in either a mainstream or SEN School. Additionally you have a great a passion for working with ASD students and preferably have worked with them in some capacity. There would be occasions that would be quite demanding, so imperative that you have a positive and happy mind-set to work with ASD pupils.

Great opportunity for a temp to perm ASD Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant / SEN TA / Senior Behaviour TA / Behaviour HLTA / Teaching Assistant who essentially has experience with pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour. This role is looking for a SEN TA (ASD) / Senior Behaviour Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant / Teaching Assistant who has experience working with primary and secondary. This role & opportunity would suit someone who is resilient, not the type to take things 'to heart', and additio0nally can build a strong rapport, calm and committed to safeguarding young people and children. The successful SEN TA will have worked in either an SEN or mainstream school or a PRU. Also you will have worked with students on a 1:1 basis and at times within small groups.

• Can build a strong rapport with ASD/ SEN pupils
• Experience with students either ie ASD/ EBD/ ADHD / SEMH etc
• You have worked as either an SEN TA / ASD Teaching Assistant/ HLTA/ TA/ SEN TA (ASD)/ Behaviour Mentor / Senior Behaviour Teaching Assistant / Behaviour HLTA / Teaching Assistant/ HLTA
• Worked with pupils on a 1:1 basis & small groups
• Confident to be alone to deal with a disruptive pupil & restrain if necessary
• Must be focused on safeguarding pupils
• Resilient, consistent & don't take things to heart
• Experience with either primary or secondary pupils
