What is the Role

As an IT Business Analyst supporting our Enterprise business and supporting Project Managers in their day-to-day activities, youll be responsible for liaising between the main business and the IT service delivery function; gaining knowledge and understanding of business scenarios and problems and documenting your findings in a manner that is unambiguous and relevant to a projects stakeholders.

Youll provide recommendations to solutions ensuring they meet the needs of the user and the business as well as being responsible for elicitation and analysing, specifying, validating and verifying requirements.

What do I need

Youll be an experienced IT Business Analyst (BA), demonstrating experience of the full analysis lifecycle and of both agile and waterfall projects. Youll able to demonstrate confidence with requirements elicitation including facilitating workshops and participating in meetings with senior business stakeholders.

Youll also be able to demonstrate previous delivery / ownership of Business Analysis deliverables such as:
  • deliverables youve owned the delivery of, demonstrating an understanding of the attributes of various requirements types
  • process-led requirement analysis
  • requirements communication, management and traceability

Most importantly your stakeholder management skills, creating and maintaining effective business relationships, along with your ability to relate IT developments to tangible business outcomes will be key to your success.

Prepared to question existing processes and methods, youll demonstrate process modelling (Visio or other) and ideally BMPN skills. As well as MS Office/O365, youll be familiar with MS Project.
