In a nutshell
Do you have an analytical mind-set? Do you like to use data analytics to identify trends and insight to optimise channel performance and return on investment?

In this role you will be part of a small team managing reporting and analytical support to deliver market development insights and tactical analysis to support the Sales channels. You will act as the primary liaison between Sales & Revenue Management. You'll collate feedback from the sales team and qualify opportunity in order to inform Revenue Management strategy and provide strategic direction for Sales trading

Day to day
You will develop analytical models to value Global Sales activities and market propositions, providing insights into opportunities to achieve VAA's revenue budget and improve ROI.

Generating standard reporting for all selling activities within the channel.

Applying traditional and advanced data visualization methods using tools such as Access, Excel, Tableau, SQL and Alteryx and providing user testing and feedback on data tools to the Data & Insights team.

Proactively interpreting data analytics and presenting this back to ensure understanding and awareness of opportunities across all stakeholders.

Using analytical tools you will create regular and ad hoc reporting and you'll use data sources and analysis to measure and drive performance.

Leading market studies and project assignments that drive Sales strategies. Projects will include analysis of performance drivers, market entry opportunities, and account / channel behavioural insights.

As the primary liaison between Sales & Revenue management, you will develop a standard format for receiving, qualifying and documenting feedback from field sales. This will include providing Revenue Management with timely proposals for fare product changes where you will analyse the impact of fare.

Working with the field sales team to provide tactical insights for weekly trading discussions, reviewing weekly and monthly reporting (flown and forward) to provide focus areas.

Collating insights from field sales to qualify & quantify trading performance, giving context to performance. Providing weekly reporting on tactical initiative performance.

Coaching field sales in data tools, insight and commercial thinking to drive the collation of improved market insight.

Mentoring and sharing best practices with team members actively planning and implementing sales programs in a joint venture.

About you
Do you have strong commercial acumen and analytical skills along with an understanding of airline economics and business drivers? Do you enjoy coaching others in commercial thinking, data insights and tools?

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills across all levels (both written and oral). With solid relationship management skills you will have the ability to distill complex issues into succinct summaries for stakeholders. You'll have significant business experience along with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under aggressive deadlines.

Educated to degree level (or equivalent), you will need to have highly proficient PC skills including knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. With experience in data visualization and modelling tools you will be comfortable with handling large data sets and systems.
