Assistant Accountant - £20,000-£23,000 - Hucknall - Permanent

Macildowie are currently recruiting for a business based just outside of Hucknall who are looking for an assistant accountant to join their expanding team. Being able to hit the ground running is essential within this role and providing insight into how you can improve the business as a whole will set you apart.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare, record, analyse, query & adjust stock accounts
  • General month end duties will include accruals, prepayments, aged debtors and creditor's analysis, posting journals, balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Lead the budgeting & forecasting process.
  • Preparing the month end turnover and reporting pack.
  • Liaising with the external auditors.
  • Transactional finance duties, including purchase and sales ledger
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.

You will be/have:
  • Experience working in an all-round finance position and ability to add value to an already established team.
  • AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part qualified or QBE also considered.
  • Intermediate excel skills are important (v-look ups, pivot tables)
  • A can do attitude and confident in having conversations with senior management up to board level.
