Head of Humanities required to join one of Luton's purpose built, supportive academies. The role is to start in January and offers a full time contract with a permanent contract also available.

Under the direction of the schools Head Teacher (appointed Sept 16) this school has made huge steps forward and they are looking to appoint a committed and professional career teacher to lead their Humanities faculty for the remainder of the academic year. The post has arisen due to a resignation.

The school is a well-lit, purpose built, modern building with superb facilities. Staff and students benefit from the specialist equipment, pragmatic SLT and a unified teaching team. The school are also well known for promoting talented and committed staff members as the Head continues to build a strong staffing network committed to the school's progression and long term goals. You will be responsible for teaching classes of your chosen subjects across KS 3, 4 & 5.

We are looking for
*Strong Humanities teachers with QTS and a head for leadership.
*As a driven and enthusiastic teacher you must be able to deliver varied and different lessons whilst managing groups of pupils and maintaining their focus.
*Experience as a 2ic, Senior teacher or HOD is also advantageous.
*With the potential for growth, development and promotion within the department and School this is a great opportunity to see a school prior to the resignation date.

Based within a short drive of Junction 11 on the M1 and with staff parking and good transport links to main bus and train links.

To join this successful and integral department in January you will need to
Hold QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
You will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
