Our client is a thriving business with a great history and very bright future. An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join the team, based in Banbury. Reporting directly to one of the nicest and most talented Finance Directors in the region, this role is very broad and will offer challenges and experience that few other companies can offer to an experienced FM. With ambitious growth plans, you will be integral to the operation as well as being a major contributor in ensuring the continued success of the company.

The Role:

Managing a small team, the this position is responsible for the effective operation and control of financial accounting & reporting and operational finance of the business. This includes the monthly close process and timely reporting of financial performance and running of the day-to-day operational finance, including treasury, accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently. The role also manages the year-end process relating audit and tax. This role supports the budgeting and forecasting processes, working with commercial finance and the business functions to provide visibility and reporting functionality back to the budget owners to ensure accountability. This position would also require somebody who can provide P&L analysis relating to new products and tender processes, as well as guidance surrounding costing strategies and risk analysis.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:
  • You must have worked in FMCG or Manufacturing sectors for a prolonged period of time.
  • You must have a wealth of experience across the full range of financial management.
  • You must possess excellent management accounting experience and you must have previously had full responsibility for month-end close and have produced a management and board pack to your previous company deadlines.
  • You must have managed at least a small team of accounting/finance professionals.
  • You might well be CIMA or ACCA qualified or QBE.
  • You must be highly communicative, be able to build collaborative internal relationships and be comfortable with the accountability and responsibility involved.
  • There will always be process changes to implement and adapt to as well as problems to fix so you must have previous experience of solving issues and being proactive in your input.
  • You must have strong IT and systems experience, in particular strong Excel.
