UniformThe job of a Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor

As part of a team of mobile specialists working across a region you will undertake the inspection of damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair and timeframes. An important aspect of this job is to identify the correct prescribed repair method and prepare, record and maintain records of electronic and manual estimates. You will then liaise effectively with insurance companies to obtain their authority to repair the vehicle at the costs estimated. You will also effectively liaise with customers engineers and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology.

You will be part of a team of specialists therefore this role does come with a favourable basic salary, bonus, company car and flexible hours

What you will be doing?

Our Bodyshops are fast paced and exciting with lots of opportunity to make an incredible difference and apply your expertise and skill. In the job of Vehicle Damage Assessor you will be responsible for assessing many different marques of vehicle. This means keeping up-to-date with all repair methodologies and it is also important for you as a Vehicle Damage Assessor to fully understand different insurers and manufacturers literature and bulletins. Another very important aspect of this job is teamwork as you will be working across a variety of locations and with a larger team of colleagues across many functional areas.

As a Roaming Vehicle Damage Assessor you will already be a highly experienced specialist and will have an interest and passion in the industry and continuous improvement. With a professional appearance we would also appreciate it if you are highly motivated and a natural team player. Naturally, due to the nature of the job you will need to have a full UK/EU Driving Licence and the relevant qualifications for the job (ATA, NVQ Level 3, or City and Guilds as well as experience in the accident repair environment).
