Suffolk Leisure Park is an outdoor activity centre based on the outskirts of Ipswich. We require an Outdoor Activities Apprentice to join the business. You will be part of an ever-growing business with the goal to be a dual qualified ski and snowboard instructor. Other duties will include: * Supervision of other outdoor activities. such as; * Tobogganing * Ringo's * Climbing Wall * High Ropes Experience * Basic administration * Site maintenance * Deliveringexcellent customer service and answering customer queries, face to face, e-mail or via telephone Good customer service is essential and you will need to be approachable and able to adapt to each customer's requirements while remaining professional. Whilst undergoing training you will start by shadowing the relevant senior staff and then once ready be supervised performing the role yourself. They will advise on best practice while ensuring a good service is delivered. As an Apprentice you will be included on an Active Leisure Qualification. Your qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship. Once you're established within the business team leadership will be expected, leading an example to junior staff. Things to consider The majority of time is spent outside supervising, teaching or grounds work. Appropriate clothing is supplied for winter weather. Due to the seasonal nature of the sports over the summer months the primary role is maintenance and labour. This requires a suitable level of fitness and self-motivation. The role is based as 5.5 working days over the week. There is a set day off between Monday and Friday and then will alternate working a full weekend and having 1 weekend day off. Weekday shifts are either 10am to 6pm or 2pm to 10pm. Weekend shifts are 10am-6pm. This vacancy may close early if sufficient applications are received.
