An opportunity has arisen to join our large and enthusiastic occupational therapy team here at Fromeside. Within the role, you will work closely with colleagues from the multi-disciplinary team to provide a direct clinical service to in-patients with mental health needs in our medium secure unit. This role will be working on our rehabilitation ward for service users who are in the final stages of their stay within the unit. Working as a key part of the team, you will routinely undertake all aspects of the OT process, including assessing service user's occupational functioning; planning, implementing and reviewing appropriate interventions and treatment methods. You will be able to employ a range of individual and group interventions which embrace social inclusion and recovery principles at their core. Particularly, the discharge focus of the rehabilitation wards will offer the opportunity of integrating service users back into individuals' community environment. On joining the team, you will receive a comprehensive, structured induction package, and the chance to work with a supportive team in a unique and innovative environment, as well as the support you need, with regular supervision and appropriate training. The service actively promotes all aspects of continuing professional development. You will receive regular supervision and depending on experience there is the opportunity to develop your supervision skills. We encourage informal visits to the service as part of the selection process.
