ENGIE are recruiting for a Finance Controller / Business Partner to be based at Newcastle or Leeds office. This is a 6 to 9 months Fixed Term Contract full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Engie are looking for an experienced controller and accountant for the Electric Vehicles business. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Finance Director, will have a day to day responsibility of all management accounting responsibilities of project installations and PAYG income streams/payments with our Genie charge point management platform. Extensive experience with the Xero accounting package and excellent Excel skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day to day management accounting and bookkeeping
* Production of purchase orders, invoices and payment of suppliers
* Weekly cash flow management and forecasting
* Management of bank payments and bank reconciliation, all foreign exchange transactions and all ledgers including purchasing, sales, deferred income and accruals
* Experience with physical stock shipments and the logistical processes behind them
* PAYE submissions and monthly payroll (liaising with outsourced payroll provider)
* Managing budgets, production of P&L Statements
* Full ownership of the balance sheet, including all reconciliations
Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:
* Accounting qualification desired
* Previous experience working with Xero(essential), Sage or SAP
* Excellent Excel skills (Pivot tables, vLookups, Validation etc.)
* Ambitious with passion and a ton of energy
* Ability to work on their own and as a part of the team
* Must be detailed, organised and proactive
* Enjoys a challenging and fast-paced environment
* A passion or interest in new technology and the transition to clean energy (preferable)
