We have the pleasure of working with a prestige and loyal client of ours who are looking for senior buyer to join their team in Ipswich.

This role is a fixed term 6-month contract working 37.5 hours each week.

Main duties will include:

* Working as a business partner model with internal stakeholders across the group, attending meetings as required, when tendering projects are in progress, including facilitating supplier meetings and presentations to set deadlines and ensuring all due diligence and best practice processes are adhered to by stakeholders and suppliers throughout.

* Regularly reviewing existing and new commercial agreements, in order to deliver cost or efficiency savings through data analysis of existing spend across a range of suppliers

* Delivery of tender activities as allocated, from the initial requirements gathering market analysis to post tender analysis and lessons learnt.

* Delivery and set up on tender activities including the use of competitive quotation initiatives, outcome evaluation reports and trackers. Through to the final contract award.

* Establishing partnering relationships with internal stakeholders supporting any tendering processes, quoting processes to deliver the best solutions for the organisation.

The ideal candidate will be:

* MCIPS qualified or be working towards this along with the relevant experience with proven track record.

* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise their workload.

* Able to work on their own initiative

* Managing a range of tasks

* Excellent attention to detail
