Finanace Assistant/Bookkeeper

Our client is a dynamic and growing manufacturing company who have gone from humble beginnings to a £6 million turnover company with 30 years' experience and 30 employees. They are located in Keighley and are looking for an organised and self-motivated person to manage their payroll for an initial 6-month contract.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Signing off and entering purchase invoices

• Raising sales and pro forma invoices

• Emailing customers

• Answer/resolve invoice queries received via telephone

• Sending monthly statements

• Chasing money due/debts

• Process clock card hours/enter onto wage sheets

• Process wages and pensions

• Update/manage holiday calendar

• Process monthly VAT and PAYE

• Send EC sales and purchases to Inland Revenue every 3 months

• Work out costs for stock

• Complete credit applications and do credit checks on new customers

The ideal candidate:

• Excellent communication skills

• Good knowledge of IT packages

• Good knowledge of SAGE or Chancellor

• Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper is essential

Salary: Up to £25k DOE
Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 4:30pm finish on a Friday however our client are flexible with this
