The program manager will be responsible for managing the delivery and maintenance of IT workstreams for the clients eCommerce platform. They will have a mix of strong business, leadership and technology skills to manage complex projects and ensure that business goals are met

Key responsibilities

* Understand digital business strategy and objectives; leverage technology solutions to develop recommendations to reach these objectives
* Partner with senior leadership to refine the business case, establish feasibility and recommend go-forward approach for project funding
* Facilitate detailed estimation to inform the project prioritization process
* Create project plans and direct program schedules and budget, monitor project status in comparison to cost/time projections
* Manage and prioritise work direction across business, creative and IT/developer resources and own completion of all activities from project scoping to delivery
* Independently provide consistent and comprehensive senior stakeholder status reports and ongoing cost analyses
* Accountable for issue and risk management * Provide leadership to project teams, facilitate communication (internally and across teams), monitor morale among teams
* Continuously monitor project progress and provide recommendations on suggested scope changes to project owner / product managers / product owners

Minimum qualifications

* Experience in managing product and software development lifecycles and experience with Agile project management methodologies
* Experience in a program management role, a large project management role or equivalent role for technology, eCommerce, or website build including experience managing a team of over 10 project resources
* Strong communication and leadership skills and be able to and work alongside major tech vendors
* Experience creating and managing a budget for large projects, monitoring financial outcomes of projects and providing financial recommendations to senior stakeholders
* Leadership experience in a matrixed technology organization and familiarity with projects that span multiple development teams
* Demonstrated ability to navigate a large tech enterprise, and manage ambiguity without minimal disruption to project progress

Desired qualifications
* Strong engineering or technical background (through experience and education) or an Ecommerce background with 7 years* experience in a technical project environment
* Domain knowledge including understanding of technology, systems and industry trends and familiarity with business strategy within more than one domain
* Demonstrated ability to introduce capabilities into an enterprise for the first time and plan technical change management
