A Digital Learning Developer is required for our client in Northallerton, North Yorkshire for an initial 12 month fixed term contract

Our client is looking for a Digital Learning Developer to design, create and implement new E-Learning solutions using appropriate technologies and standards ensuring applications are developed to meet organisational and user requirements and to adhere to national legislation and to research, design and develop highly interactive multimedia learning resources for use by all levels of staff.

Scope of the role:

- Maintain, monitor and develop internal and external Learning Management Systems (Moodle)

- Provide technical back-up, installation, maintenance and on-going review of software and internal server software to ensure sufficient functionality and high performance of the organisation's learning technology provision.

- Provide specialist advice to L&D colleagues for the inclusion of multimedia within the development of blended learning solutions.

- Research, design and prepare storyboards and scripts for multimedia learning solutions prior to their technical development using a range of specialist multimedia and E-Learning software applications.

- Liaise with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders in order to identify requirements and ensure that learning content and the service provided is in line with the departmental and organisational objectives.

- Ensure that all material designed for production is compliant with statutory requirements (e.g. GDPR).

- Liaise and consult with external awarding bodies in regard to new training techniques and make recommendations for amendments/ reviews to E-Learning resources.

- Proactively test multimedia learning resources, reports and systems, investigate problems, suggest and implement solutions to ensure system security, usability and compliance with user requirements.

- Produce re-usable and documented resources and code in accordance with appropriate multimedia learning standards.

Essential:

- Experience in interactive web applications e.g. HTML5, XHTML, PHP, My SQL, JavaScript and jQuery.

- Proven ability in utilising authoring tools.

- Experience of instructional design, graphic design and illustration.

- The ability to provide creative and innovative learning and development solutions.

Desirable:

- Holds or working towards a multimedia / computing qualification at degree level or equivalent.

- Maintaining a Managed learning environment (MLE) or Learning Management System (LMS).

- Experience of using photographic and audio visual recording equipment.

- Knowledge and experience using a range of Adobe and Microsoft Office systems.
