GSL Education are currently looking for a qualified Science Teacher to join a high achieving secondary school graded "GOOD" by Ofsted. This will be a temporary post, possibly until November/December 2020. Since this will not be a full timetable so, he/she will need to be willing to cover other lessons in other subject areas during free periods.

The role is at a successful 11-19 mixed school, located in Hackney. The school have achieved excellent results both at GCSE and at A-Level and are looking for teachers who take pride in teaching and learning.

The school is looking for someone who can plan and teach Science lessons, that follow the agreed departmental schemes of work and teaching guidelines. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to make a difference to the lives of young people. The primary objective of this role is to assist the Head of Learning Area in maintaining in ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning, achievement, and engagement of all students within the subject area.

The successful candidate must:
- Be a qualified Science Teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).
- Demonstrate recent experience as a Science Teacher.
- Be able to teach Science up to KS4.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
