Main Purpose of the Job:

The Partnership Development Manager for our Academy provides the primary point of contact between new Partners and Advisers and St. James's Place. As such it is a significant role in SJP's relationship with each new Partner and Adviser and places a key responsibility on the Partnership Development Manager to ensure that new Partners and Advisers carry out their activities representing St. James's Place in an appropriate manner. This can be summarised as acting in a manner that is in keeping with the guidance and expectations set out in 'The St. James's Place Partnership - What it means to be a member' document.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitors and enhances the quality of advice provided by the St. James's Place Partnership.

Responsible for managing the output and performance of the Academy in line with our values.

Actively seeks information and understanding of a New Partner's or Adviser's business. Takes responsibility for acquiring information.

Implements and maintains SJP systems to ensure that New Partners and Advisers meet with the FCA's objectives and the principles of good regulation.

Ensures that New Partners and Advisers develop the knowledge and skills necessary to write, document and submit business within SJP guidelines and to required standards.

Keeps the Academy Head of Business and Business Risk Manager up to date on key matters and risks that involve the New Partner's or Adviser's business.

As and when required, undertakes National, Area and Location projects at the request of the Academy Head of Business.

Required Skills:

Able to communicate at all levels

Good analytical and decision-making skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Service oriented approach

Ability to provide constructive feedback and coaching

PC Literate - including Excel, Word & Outlook

Required Technical Knowledge & Qualifications:

Required to hold QCF Level 4 qualification e.g. the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning

Strong understanding of current FCA regulations
