Allstaff Recruitment (Milton Keynes) are currently seeking a Payroll Manager to fill a full-time, permanent role for an Accountancy firm, based in St Albans.

The purpose of the Payroll Manager role is to manage a small team and provide excellent service to the firm's payroll clients. You will oversee the firm's payroll function and work closely with the outsourcing department to assist development and growth. In addition, you will review and improve existing processes and procedures in order to streamline and create efficiencies.

As the ideal Payroll Manager, you will possess the following:

·A minimum of 5 years' Payroll experience

·A proven track record in people or team management for at least 2-3 years

·A Payroll qualification ideally

·Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and STAR or similar Payroll software

·Willingness to take on responsibility and ownership

·Confidence and assured in delivery when dealing with all levels of people

·Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

·Hands on and self-motivating approach

·Excellent customer service skills

·Flexibility

Salary: £40k - £45k, and benefits

Hours: Office hours 9.00am - 5.30pm with flexibility, Monday to Friday
