Delivery Manger / Technical Delivery Manager:

Are you a technical Delivery Manager who can co-ordinate and motive a team,( within a Manged Services environment) has a passion and desire for customer service and to excel in their role.

The Technical Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading a technical team within a Professional Services environment, providing technical solutions, implementations, upgrades, and improvements to IT Systems for customers.

The role is instrumental in managing the technical teams and delivering improvements in customer solutions, and requires some technical understanding of Data Centre Services, Network Services, Infrastructure, Storage and Security

This is a new role and will be focal point for the Professional Services team..

About the role:

The Technical Delivery Manger will lead a Professional Services Team, within an MSP environment, and will be based out of their Fareham office, working closely with a team of technical engineers, consultants and managers.

You will lead on project implementations, enhancement to IT Systems, ,roll out of Project Management and Implementation methodologies following Best Practice.

As Technical Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the team performs to the highest levels and achieves business objectives ( utilisation of resources, revenue, project deadlines, on time delivery, customer satisfaction). Working closely with pre-sales & sales teams, you will prepare project delivery profiles and estimates for project delivery timescales.

In addition, you will be responsible for driving performance within the team, ensuring they have the right technical skills for their roles, delivering performance reviews for all direct reports, and providing respective feedback on performance and objectives set.

You will need to have strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to take ownership of incidents, whilst ensuring issues are being prioritized and resolved effectively.

This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will require occasional travel to 1 or 2 other sites for meetings when required

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the Professional Services team to achieve business objectives
  2. Work closely with sales & pre-sales teams to prepare project delivery profiles, and estimates for project delivery.
  3. Ensure the delivery of high-quality technical and soft-skills training for team members
  4. Ensuring direct reports have resources, info,and process to deliver effective solutions to customers
  5. Promoting best practice for project delivery, and adding value to the customer experience
  6. Manage key processes including project management, implementation and documentation
  7. Represent the Professional Services department at customer service and account reviews
  8. Make sure team follow best practice and internal processes.
  9. Mentor, develop, promote the PS team members thru training, skills and knowledge development
  10. Setting team goals in alignment with objectives and assisting the reports to achieve this objectives

Essential Skills:

Candidates must have some exposure to most of the skills listed below:
  • Proven track record in delivering an excellent service to customers and key stakeholders
  • Technical understanding of Infrastructure, Unified Comms, Networking, Data Centre, Storage Services, Desktop Services
  • Demonstrable success in a senior role in an MSP or Software Services
  • Willingness to try new ideas and influence and embed change
  • Strong people management and leadership, mentoring skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Results focused on achieving objectives set and passion for customer excellence
