Are you a Secondary Teaching Assistant with experience of supporting students across Year 7-11?

Are you looking for a school, where you can make a difference to the students lives?

THE ROLE

Our client is seeking to appoint an efficient Teaching Assistant, who is an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills to work across Year 7 to Year 11. You will be approachable, calm, caring but firm, have good ICT skills and may have experience of working with teachers and supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disability or English as an Additional Language. A high standard of literacy and numeracy is essential for this post, as is the enthusiasm to help raise the achievement of students.

THE SCHOOL

Our client is a state-funded non-selective, all-ability, non-denominational secondary school that caterers for students between 11-16. They pride themselves on the expertise of the teaching staff, a safe and supportive atmosphere for pupils, a broad and balanced curriculum (complemented by a programme of Enterprise and STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) and the high standards they expect of the students and themselves.

Support the Teaching and Leadership team in growing pupil attendance
Assist in the development of the School Improvement Plan and its review mechanism
Be a role model to learners with disabilities
