Shugborough is a very special place. Following the transition back into our care, we've been overwhelmed by the number of visitors who've supported us since we opened in 2017. We are in the process of developing our big and ambitious plans to help ensure that we are able to exceed our visitors' expectations, manage our activities sustainably and, most importantly, to safeguard the ongoing delivery and funding of Shugborough's conservation work. is a 4000 acre working estate near Shrewsbury, Shropshire with a neo-classical mansion, Repton Park, Pleasure Grounds and Walled Garden at its core. Over the last 10 years Attingham has established itself as the place to which the people of Shropshire return for beauty, inspiration, tranquillity, fulfilment, exercise and enjoyment. We have transformed the visitor offer and experience by bringing the stories of the property to life through the revival, re-discovery and restoration of the Park, Walled Garden, Pleasure Grounds, Mansion, Stable Courtyard and wider Estate. Most recently the development of a new café and production kitchen, visitor reception, toilets and biomass heating system are helping to realise our growth potential growth and to deliver our renewable energy commitment. Attingham is now one of the most visited of the Trust's pay-to-enter properties and we have a strong track record for innovative, ambitious and high quality conservation that underpins all of our work.
