Function: Account Management Closing Date: 30/09/2019 Business Development Manager Location -Bellshill - Dove Wynd Strathclyde Salary - competitive + bonus & benefits This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media to work as part of the Business Sales team. The team sell products and services directly to service providers and business markets business customers. They are also focused on developing existing customer accounts for higher penetration through customer relationship management activities. Role Purpose * To drive growth of Virgin Media Business through new business development. * To plan and implement a robust and innovative attraction strategy to drive the acquisition of new revenue generating organisations with potential annual spend greater than £200k consistent with company objectives * To drive profitable revenue growth for Virgin Media Business through increasing revenue predominantly within prospect organisations. Key Accountabilities * Demonstrates a strong understanding of the Virgin Media Business product portfolio extending to internal governance, commercial policies, systems and process. * Meets and exceeds sales targets through acquisition of new revenue generating organisations * Builds and manages the relationship within new accounts in order to develop and grow, contracted revenue streams. * To drive growth of Virgin Media Business through new business development. * To plan and implement a robust and innovative attraction strategy to drive the acquisition of new revenue generating organisations with potential annual spend greater than £200k consistent with company objectives * To drive profitable revenue growth for Virgin Media Business through increasing revenue predominantly within prospect organisations. * Manages the individual sales forecast ensuring the correct level of focus is applied to each opportunity identified and ensures accuracy is applied to all forecasting activity * Responsible for managing bids & commercial governance whilst progressing opportunities through the business approval process * Constructs business cases and justifies CAPEX / OPEX spend & resource allocation * Act as the point of escalation for major commercial / operational issues * Responsible for constructing, driving and maintaining Campaign Plans. * Ensuring the correct governance is applied to all Major Sales Opportunities. * Ability to work well within a virtual team (Technical Pre - Sales, Service Management, Legal, BID Management etc) on larger opportunities. * Provide world class customer service to drive high levels of customer satisfaction. Essential Knowledge, experience and Skills * Ability to drive new business through existing and emerging technologies. * Demonstrate a successful track record in sales, ideally complex solution selling. * Passionate about self-awareness and personal development. * Sound experience of liaising at a senior / board level. * Demonstrable record of consistent success in a business to business sales environment.
