A privately owned and operated mental health unit in the Port-Talbot area is currently recruiting for RMN and RNLD Registered Nurses to join their clinical team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The facility offers a locked rehabilitation service to adults of working age with mental illnesses, who often also present challenging behaviours.

Details of these Registered Nurse vacancies and what the home is offering:
• 36 hours per week on a permanent contract
• Flexible shift patterns with day shifts available covering a 7-day rota
• Very competitive pay rates of £17.00 per hour
• A range of opportunities for training and development plus support with NMC revalidation

In this Registered Nurse role you will participate in all aspects of the planning and implementation of care and treatment programmes and you will play a key role in the hospital's multidisciplinary team.

Applications for this Staff Nurse position should meet the following criteria:
• NMC registered Mental Health Nurse/RMN or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD with a keen interest in managing challenging behaviours and implementing positive behavioural support
• Ideally demonstrate some post-registration experience, ideally within an acute mental health setting and confident working with service users with challenging behaviours and complex needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and committed to delivering high quality treatment and support

Newly qualified Nurses will be considered for this position and the unit is able to offer a comprehensive preceptorship programme to support you in the transition from Student Nurse to Staff Nurse.
