I am currently recruiting a Finance Administrator on a fixed term contract basis. This is working for a travel management company based in East London close to Liverpool Street.

Client Details

My client is a travel management companybased in East London. They were established couple of years ago and since have grown consistently year on year. They specialise in business traveller.

They are now looking to hire a Finance Administrator on a fixed term contract. This will be an initial temporary assignment for 6 months. The role will be based in their offices in London.

Finance Administrator, East London

Roles and Duties

This is a fixed term role for a Finance Administrator and will report to the Management Accountant. The main responsibility of the post is the maintenance of financial booking records, the processing of invoices and receipts and the undertaking of a range of financial reporting and administrative tasks. The post operates in a team environment but will rely on self-initiative and commercial acumen and will be expected to work in a collaborative way with staff and volunteer colleagues.

From time to time the post requires an element of working extra hours potentially including weekend work
  • Administer files within our booking system
  • Process sales invoices
  • Reconcile vendors including credit cards
  • Receipt cards, cash/cheques and manage online banking including online payments and transfers
  • Prepare regular vendor accounting reconciliations
  • Administer credit control/debt collection
  • Administer payment of bills, invoices and staff and volunteer expense claims
  • Ensure financial controls are adhered to
  • Assist in preparation of accounts
  • Improve controls for preparation, collection and reconciliation of bookings
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the Financial Controller

Profile

The successful candidate must be immediate available to interview/ start short notice
  • Experience of the travel industry and GDS systems (really important) one of the four (Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre or WorldSpan)
  • Demonstrated experience of dealing with complex ledgers
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative
  • Good IT and system skills, particularly in Excel & MS Office Package
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Accounting reconciliations experience

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be paid between £25,000-27,000 per annum pro rata depending on experience.
