Special Needs Teaching Assistant - RECRUITING NOW.

We are working with a school for students with complex needs, this position would be ideal for any experienced Special Needs Teaching Assistant looking to work in a nurturing setting with a great staff team.
  • As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant you will be responsible for providing a dynamic range of support for students with physical disabilities.
  • Working with a student aged 14 - 18.
  • Working on a 1 to 1 basis to provide personal support to the learner.
  • You will ensure students can thrive and fully develop their social, cognitive and emotional skills.
  • You must have a patient and calming nature and a developed knowledge and understanding of the particular needs of the student.
  • May be elements of personal care.
  • Good working knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Be able to actively promote and assist safe learning.
  • Previous experience working with physical disabilities and complex needs are essential.
  • Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide, to motivate and enable all students to achieve.

For this 1-1 Special Needs Teaching Assistant position it is ideal if you are:

Qualified with a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant certification and/or health and social care qualifications. Those with a background in care or working with adults with learning difficulties may be considered also.

Previous experience working with physical disabilities would be ideal.

This Special Needs Teaching Assistant post is 30hrs per weekterm time to start September 2019
