Business Development Manager
Medicall recruitment are working with one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. Due to growth in the business we are now looking to recruit a Home Development Manager to work for a service in Leeds to help drive forward growth and occupancy within our care homes across the UK.
Working closely with our operations team, including our Regional and Home Managers, you will both lead and support occupancy growth across our services nationally. We are looking for a passionate, commercially minded individual who wants to make a difference to the lives of the individuals we support while at the same time take on the challenges of developing our business.

This position is a full time role and the salary is £50,000 per annum.
Overview of role and responsibilities
* Lead and support the establishment of new relationships at both strategic and local levels
* Lead and support the generation of referrals into services
* Support in the maintenance of existing strategic relationships with referrers and commissioners whilst working closely with the Regional Managers to influence stakeholders, and policy makers
* Articulation and communication of key company messages during external interactions
* Develop home and business development strategies
* Optimise occupancy across target services
* Monitor home development activity across the business identifying areas for development and improvement. Share best practice
* Coach RM/HMs in applying commercial principles to day to day home development activities
* Development of management information relating to home development and enquiries
* Commitment to doing
* National travel to the Portfolio
Experience and personal qualities
* Experience of the Care Sector is a pre-requisite for this role
* Business Development experience with a successful track record of increasing occupancy
* Ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally
* A positive, can-do attitude
* Team player - "hands on, sleeves up" approach
* Able to prioritise work based on deadlines and importance
* Person centred approach
* Financially astute with excellent understanding of costings and budget management
* Exceptional communications skills and ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels
* Ability to both lead and support colleagues. Confident in own abilities but prepared to listen to colleagues
* Be able to work independently, taking full ownership of own role and objectives
* Willingness to travel around the services to support Regional and Home managers, attend meetings and events as required
* Strong attention to detail
* Financially astute and be able to analyse and interpret data, applying this to decision making
* Knowledge of NHS/Local Authority business processes and systems including business planning, commissioning and tendering
* A proven problem solver - proactive in identifying issues, recommending solutions and in implementing agreed recommendations
