Senior Manager - Finance Operations - Competitive Salary - Permanent - South Wales My client, a leading manufacturer in the luxury automotive industry, are on the lookout for a senior level manager to ensure the strategic financial performance of Operations and IT Finance. The successful candidate will be involved in leading the reporting requirements for the Finance Operations team covering material cost, manufacturing, logistics, warranty and fixed costs over an annual and business planning horizon. Key Duties and Responsibilities Supervising and co-ordinating a team of 4 Analysts and Senior Analysts within the Finance Operations Team. Required to manage team resource and prioritise workload, co-ordinate work streams to ensure deadlines are met month end, budget setting, reporting. Collective annual budget responsibility of £600m + annual expenditure Co-ordinate the production of 12 month annual budget and 5 year business plan Lead St Athan financial set up for finance operations. Inventory control, cost centre structure and management, systems integration and reporting requirements Responsibility for control of all model line BoM's (Bill of Material) and Options costs. Co-ordinate and drive delivery of Total Delivered Cost (TdC) targets to enable the business to meet its objectives. Lead integration of CMS (Cost Management System), Goldcrest and Wave. Co-ordinate production of forecasts and management reports for review with senior management. Establish standardised and effective reports and communication methods across Finance operations. Capital and Expense Project Approval, Budgeting and Forecasting. Lead the preparation and presentation of internal project financials and reporting to senior management. Provide supervision and leadership for Finance staff members. Delegated responsibility and deputise for Director of Finance Operation when required. Chair, lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve key financial risks or issues. Challenge operating interfaces to help achieve the most cost efficient results. Continuous identification of improvements to support efficiency in processes both in the role and the wider team. Essential Experience Experience in operating with Senior Management and Director's. Candidates should have a proven track record of a broad financial and interpersonal skill set with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving. Strong excel and other desktop skills. Supervisory experience preferable. Previous experience within a financial analysis function desirable. Previous experience of Operations and Bill of Material's analysis desirable Preferred Education / Qualifications Educated to degree level (2:1 minimum).
