Clark Resources are currently assisting our prestigious client who are experts in the rig moving and mooring industry, in sourcing a full time Engineering Manager to join the team at the offices in Aberdeen.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation of the Engineering function within the company. A senior engineering discipline specialist who will be the recognised expert for the role.
  • As technical authority, you will provide independent oversight of projects.

Duties include but not limited to:
  • Ensure the technical requirements of all activities are managed and delivered in accordance with business requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of, and control exposure to, operational and commercial risk relating to the engineering function.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures for the engineering technical work delivered by the function.
  • Quality assure work performed by the engineering team ensuring compliance and alignment to all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide accurate input for monthly forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Ensure effective utilisation of ERP system.
  • Develop and submit reliable budgetary forecasts and forward plans as requested.
  • Develop and make presentations as necessary, both internally and externally.


Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems and take an active part in the compliance and improvement of same.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to Company processes/procedures.
  • Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to.
  • Participate in toolbox talks to reinforce HSE issues
  • Ensure internal audits are carried out.
  • Carry out HSE assessments and workplace inspection audits as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree (2.1) in Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • Substantial Engineering Experience
  • Broad Knowledge and Experience of Offshore Marine Operations
  • Senior Engineering/Managerial experience in O&G Marine or other process-related industry
  • Experienced in managing multiple faced paced engineering projects
  • Experienced in Orcaflex/Romeo/Gmoor32
  • Effective/competent MS Office Suite User

  • Masters of Engineering (Naval Architecture)
  • Technical Analysis Knowledge
  • Offshore Survival Training & Necessary Medicals
  • Experienced in hydrodynamic / structural analysis software
