About the Role

We are currently looking for an Internal Communications Advisor to join the HR here at Matalan. As the Internal Communications Advisor you will support the Senior Internal Communications Manager to deliver the Communication Strategy that will deliver a culture of two way engagement and 'always on' communication channels across all functions of the business.
  • Deliver and Implement tools to ensure the business understand the strategy.
  • Support and implement the different communication channels in the functional areas.
  • Work collaboratively across the functional Management teams to drive the communication agenda
  • Support the delivery of the Leadership Conference and be responsible for managing the support team to deliver this in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be responsible for pulling together the communication materials for functional communication and events in line with the communication calendar e.g. - Leadership conference, Logistics Live, Key events of the year - Easter/Thank you etc
  • Be accountable for ensuring the communication calendar is updated and key stakeholders are aware of what is coming up when
  • Support the Digitalising Communications Agenda and implement solutions with the functions where applicable
  • Support the Your Voice Forums across the 3 functional areas ensuring the logistics elements are actioned e.g. - Invites, slide decks etc
  • Work with the managers to implement communication tools and methods which support improved performance and engagement in their teams
  • Support and Implement internal communications campaigns against Matalan's calendar of events e.g. Well Being Campaigns, Business Briefs, Director Q & A
  • Support and track through our measurement tools how teams feel communicated with across the business
  • Ensure the internal comms plan is updated and aligns with our external customer brand communication plan.
  • Support the Senior Comms Manager to deliver the Exec and Senior Leaders communication messages in the key business areas e.g. - Conference, Business Briefs, Trade etc
  • Implement and support the Charity communications agenda
