Based in the South West of England, Sparex are a global company owned by the AGCO Corporation. Sparex are a leader in agricultural tractor parts & accessories sales and have created an exciting new position within its Product Management teams. Based at its head office, Sparex are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate to assist in taking its retail shop offering to the next level. This includes liaising with internal teams such as supply chain & purchasing and working closely with various Sparex sales entities across the globe.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify the future agricultural retail requirements of B2C businesses
  • Work with suppliers to lead the development of a new, consistent retail offering
  • Develop merchandising plans, marketing material, stock-up orders and ROI proposals
  • Manage and track open orders
  • Be fully responsible for product life cycle development & management of a designated sector of the Sparex product range. Including the identification of market needs; definition of the range; researching potential suppliers; price & margin positioning; assist with market launch and promotions together with inventory monitoring and guidance
  • The Product Manager - Retail Shop Development, will have the ability to work independently & remain motivated; have a passion for problem solving; along with flexibility; comfortable with ambiguity and a hunger to constantly ask why. They'd demonstrate a willingness to go beyond what is required to add value and deliver processes effectively. Some travel will be required for the role


Skills & Abilities
  • Experience in a retail role, preferably in the agricultural or spare parts industries, leading to an understanding of merchandising and presentation of product displays
  • Understanding of consumer behaviour and how changing inputs in a retail environment creates push/pull effects upon end customers
  • Sales and/or project management experience in agricultural or related industries with proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and work within deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail to support customers when required
  • An interest in new technologies, systems and processes
  • Proven ability to make good use of Microsoft office packages including Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications
  • 2 years+ relevant work experience
  • Degree qualified, preferably in a marketing or business related subject
