Staff Nurse - Waterside Private Patients Unit
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on Waterside Suite which has 2 full time Band 5 posts available. Part time hours will be considered. We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic individuals to join our small team. Waterside Suite is a 12 bedded single room unit specialising in Private Patient work with an interest in Orthopaedic, Urology, Breast, Gynaecology and General surgery. We also take NHS patients and are part of the main hospital inpatient areas taking both elective and emergency patients. Alongside the ward is our Private Outpatient Department which is managed by our administration team and a member of the ward nursing team. As well as planned and emergency admissions we have recently become the main ward for all elective hip and knee operations in the trust and have adopted a Rapid Recovery Pathway working closely with the Consultants, Orthopaedic Specialist Nurse, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. An interest in Orthopaedic surgery would be of benefit and staff will be encouraged to work with the therapists to promote the rapid recovery programme and training will be given. All levels of experience will be considered for these posts. Waterside is a small but friendly team with a rapid turnover of patients. The focus is on high standard patient care. It is a 24 hour service so the applicant must be able to work flexible shifts, to include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
